Losing my brain

The other day I decided to take the girls to a pet store to see the animals. They both had a really good time and we got to see all kinds of pets, some strange/unusual (spiders, ducks, chicks, and scorpions). Amber really seemed interested in these unusual pets. Later that day while I was going through some papers on the table I found a bill that somehow had gotten mixed in and was late. After finding the bill the following conversation took place:

Me: I have lost my brain.
Amber: Where is it?
Me: I wish I knew.
Amber: Maybe you left it at the pet store place. *long pause* You gave it to the spider.
Me: No, I don't think the spider has my brain and if it did I don't think it would help it much.

I thought that that was the end of that but a while later and after we had talked about all kinds of other things she just blurts out.

Amber: Mom, the spiders ate your brain.

I have no idea where that came from and I don't think that she has any idea what a brain is but it was still rather funny. Ever since seeing the spiders she will talk about them. Sometimes they are scary and other times they aren't. She sure does have a good imagination and kids sure do say the darnedest things is all I can say.

At least you are just loosing your brain and haven't actually lost it yet like me! That Amber is such a character and makes me laugh!

Did the spider eat the brain to get the fly, I don't know why? I guss I'll die.
