Big Boy and Leaf Pile Fun

Mr. Nathan here has had a busy week or so. He moved up to his big boy bed and has been using the potty pretty regularly! He looks so big in his big boy bed. He has been so excited about it that he plays in his bed a lot during the day. I think it is great that he will stay in his bed still and call for me until I come and get him just like he did when he was in his crib. I kinda like that because then I can still give him good morning snuggles first thing in the mornings.

Here are also some pictures from the fun we had racking up all the leaves from our front yard. The kids had fun and I was just glad that they were excited to help me clean up all the leaves. I can't believe how many there were! These are just from the front - and if you look in the first picture you can see how many leaves are still on one of the trees. I just wanted to get as many off the lawn as I could before it gets nasty here - like today. The weather went from 65 degrees to 40 overnight and it is only going to get worse. I guess I should be happy we got to have a few extra days of fall during the first week on November!

I sure do love these little monkeys - even when they drive me bananas :)

Elle's Preschool graduation

Elle graduated (if you can really call it that - because she will be going to preschool again in the fall) last month from Emmanuel Preschool. They put on a little program with the theme being 'Under the Sea.' She did a very good job and we could hear her singing in the back where we were sitting. According to her teachers she is always very excited for singing time and always sings her heart out. It is fun to see her doing her own thing without her siblings around. Elle has really been missing her friends and teachers and wishes that she could still be going to her "old preschool." In the fall she will be going to the University of Idaho's preschool. Here are the few pictures I took (I am never going to trust the battery guide on my camera again) before my battery went dead.

Outside fun

The weather here has been so nice the last couple of weeks. We have been spending lots of time outside enjoying it! Last Saturday J taught Amber how to ride her bike without training wheels and she has been practicing and improving. Here are a few pictures of our fun.

Elle's 4 Finally!

Is is weird that Elle has only been 3 up till today? She has always seemed too little before to be doing things that I knew Amber did at her age until this last year. She seems so big and grown up. She has been a very mature and wise 3 year old. I think of all the things she has done this last year and I can't believe it was all while she was 3. But now she is 4 and I am sure she will just continue to surprise us.

Elle has always been our little snuggler and I am glad to report that hasn't changed. She also is a very loving and kind little and big sister. She is always thinking of others feelings and needs and almost always is willing to help them without even being asked to. Since she has been going to preschool she has opened up more and has become less dependent on her sister to be the leader. She has learned a lot in preschool as well and knows most of her letters. It has been fun watching her grow and learn. I sure do love her. She fits right in our family - we need her easygoingness to balance out the other two's strong personalities. Happy Birthday my little Elle!

Today, for her birthday, Elle wanted to take a friend to a movie. The only kid friendly movie right now is "The Lorax" so that is what we saw. She had a great time and had fun inviting a little friend from church. After the movie she got to open her presents. She is so easy to please and loves all of them. Then for dinner all she requested were some mashed potatoes and corn. After that we had her cake (orange of course) and cookie dough ice cream. Here are a couple of pictures from the day.

Amber's 6 Birthday

Today is Amber's 6 Birthday! She has been so looking forward to this day and has even been counting down the days. She sure has changed over the last year. Starting Kindergarten and become so big and social. It amazes me how much she knows and does. I am so proud of her and all that she has been learning at school. I am excited to see her continue to grow and learn.

This year Amber shared a party with one of her friends from Primary. Rachael's birthday was on February 14 so they combined and had their party last Saturday, the 11th. It was so much fun and she was so excited to share it with Rachael. Here are a few pictures.

Today Amber had a fun day and got very spoiled by family, friends, and classmates. She had a smile on her face almost the entire day. I am so glad to be her mother and I hope she knows how much I love her, even the days that she is driving me nuts! Being a mother is so rewarding and special and challenging. I am so luck to have the job. Amber I love you and I always will. Here are a few pictures from today.

Happy 2nd Birthday Nathan

Today Nathan turns two! I can hardly believe it. It just seems like yesterday that he turned 1 and maybe a couple of months since he was born. Even though time has gone by extremely fast and I feel like he were just born I can't imagine life without him. He is such a happy guy and so much a little boy that sometimes, I don't know what to do with him. Having had two girls first it is fun to see the differences between them. Here are some things that Nathan does/likes:

-He enjoys play with pots, pans, and anything to do with cooking
-He is a talking machine
-He likes the colors yellow, blue, and green
-Curious George is his favorite TV show
-Nemo is his movie of choice
-Lately he has become a picky eater and doesn't want to eat most meals, just snacks
-Loves dressing up and playing with his sisters
-Loves doughnuts
-He is very ticklish
-Will fall a sleep on you (my other two usually never did)
-Enjoys taking long baths
-Doesn't like when his head gets wet (in the rain or when his Papa gets it wet)
-Loves being read to
-His favorite food is tacos meat (no shell)

Mr. Nathan now at 2 years old. Loving his little kitchen he got for his birthday.

He has definitely grown this year and I can't wait to watch and experience as he grows some more. Happy 2nd Birthday buddy boy. I sure do love you!
