So I just thought that I would give a little update on the girls. Amber is doing a little better everyday with adjusting to being a big sister. She slowly (very slowly) starting to let me get a few feet away from her without panicking. She has been a good helper when it comes to Elle, she loves to help if it is for Elle.
Now to Elle. She had a doctors appointment yesterday and has grown a lot. I was guessing that she would weigh around 7lb. 10oz. or so but I was way off. She weighed in at 8lb. 14oz. In the 3 weeks and 2 days since her birth she has gained 2 pounds. I could tell that she was chunking up but wow. She also grew in her length to 22 inches which puts her in the 91% for her age. So as you can see she is just getting bigger and bigger. Oh how time goes by too fast. She is starting to have a schedule which is nice. I am still adjusting to it myself. Eventually we will be able to be ready for the day before 10:30-11:00.

Mother of two
It has now been two whole weeks since Elle was born and let me tell you it is a different world at my house. I feel like a slacker in a way because I don't get a lot done around the house anymore. It is a little frustrating and I know that it is to be expected in the beginning but I still have a hard time letting everyone else do the jobs I normally do. I guess I should enjoy my break. Amber has really had her world turned upside down and won't let me out of her sight anymore, not even to go to the bathroom. I think she is afraid I will leave. It has been hard on both of us. I just hope that she will let others help her and play with her soon. She really loves to hold and kiss her baby sister. Elle is doing great, just getting bigger and chunkier. She is a good mellow baby. All in all things are going well.

Crazy or Smart?
So I am trying to decide if I am crazy or smart? Today at my doctors appointment I was given the choice of being induced on Monday March 31. Of course I said, "yes, please." Now I am having some hesitation because they would call me on Monday sometime, they say if possible in the morning, but it could be in the middle of the night as well. I really don't want to go through labor all night again(Amber was born at 6:06 AM). If they would just tell be to come at 9:00 and that I would have her on the 31st, preferably before 12:00 April 1, then I would be all about it(I think). Then of course maybe she isn't ready and I should let her cook longer, but oh how much longer? Hopefully she will just decide to come before that and I won't have a choice of time or date. I guess with all this modern medicine I am lucky to have choices but I still don't know what to do. You have all heard me complain so what do you think?

Big Girl Bed Update
Amber has been sleeping in her big girl bed the last three nights! I am really excited about this and she seems to like it too. The first night we had two sad times, but really I was expecting it to be a lot harder. I really think that having her nap in it first was really good for her. The next trick is to get her to actually sleep in the covers so she isn't all over the place. And everyone cross your fingers that it will continue to go well after the baby arrives (whenever that is, I am a ticking time bomb).

If I wouldn't eat it...
So I made Amber some Easy Mac and Cheese because I was all out of the Spiral Mac and Cheese that she likes. She took a lick of it and made a sour face. Then she said, "Mama get some." Normally I do eat it with her so that wasn't an unusual request. I brought some over and took a bit as she watched on and took a bit herself. I could barely even keep it in my mouth, it was so nasty. She made a crunched up face and then spit hers out into her bowl and I followed suit. If I wouldn't eat it then I couldn't make her. I have made it before but I thought that by using milk instead of water that it would be better for Amber. I hadn't kept the box but I thought I remembered it saying that you could do that, but now I am thinking not so much. If so I would not recommend it to anyone. I actually wouldn't recommend the microwave kind at all, stick to the box stuff - it is pretty hard to mess that up. OK so I know that the microwave kind was made so kids could do it themselves. What can I say besides I just can't follow easy directions or that stuff is just really nasty. Let's go with the second option for me. Thanks.
